“We are not powerless.
We have tapped into a tremendous power source, Service and God.”

Matt Grace is an author, speaker, and transformational recovery expert who has dedicated his life to helping others break free from addiction and reclaim their future. With over twenty years of sobriety, a Bachelor’s degree in Addiction Studies with a concentration in Integrative Healing, and over 10,000 hours mentoring individuals and families, Matt has become a trusted voice to both the most privileged and the most overlooked.
He is the author of God Doesn’t Relapse: Sex, Drugs, and the Life That Almost Killed Me and the founder of Saving Grace, a practice created to help families navigate the painful intersection of generational wealth and generational wounds. His work has taken him from Manhattan boardrooms and Palm Beach estates to church basements, recovery homes, and prison programs in his hometown of Michigan. Matt’s reach spans every layer of society because he believes the disease of addiction knows no boundaries — and neither should recovery. Matt began his career at one of the nation’s top-ranked recovery practices, where he quickly earned a reputation for working on some of the most complex cases. He mentored young men of significant means, facilitated family aftercare groups, and often started with the humblest of tasks — transporting clients to and from treatment — all while learning what it really takes to keep people sober once the spotlight fades. Those early years built his conviction that recovery isn’t just about stopping destructive behavior; it’s about building a new life anchored in service, humility, and discipline.
For Matt, service became his higher power. After nearly losing his own life to addiction, he discovered that the only way to keep what he had found in sobriety was to give it away. Whether volunteering at Vista Maria to support young women escaping trafficking and abuse, speaking at Henry Ford Maple Grove, or mentoring clients who wanted sobriety more than their next breath, Matt has made service the cornerstone of his recovery and the foundation of his mission.
Today, Matt speaks nationally on addiction, recovery, and redemption — bringing blunt honesty, raw storytelling, and practical structure to audiences who need more than clichés. He challenges families to stop enabling and start healing, inspires men and women to turn pain into purpose, and reminds everyone that vulnerability is not weakness but the birthplace of strength. He has spoken to more than 10,000 people, worked with both high-net-worth families and those who feel forgotten, and carries a message that resonates across every line of class, culture, and community.
Matt’s mission is simple but urgent: to dismantle the lies of addiction, restore broken families, and prove that rock bottom is not the end — it’s the beginning. Through his voice, his writing, and his life, Matt Grace stands as proof that when service becomes your higher power, transformation becomes possible.
